Community impact Our Projects Health and wellbeing Health and Wellbeing Cultivating a healthy and happy community is an essential part of the work we do. We currently run a varied and growing programme of activities which focuses on alleviating isolation, improving mental and physical health, strengthening connections between community members, exploring our creative talents and having fun. The Tuesday drop-in is one of our core activities and provides an opportunity for residents to get together, relax and make new friends. At the session we enjoy a cup of tea and a game of bingo with a wellbeing activity or a talk by a guest speaker on a medical or wellbeing theme. Volunteers who live at Grahame Park are at the heart of our project and run many of the activities on offer including bingo, coffee morning & the weekly walking group. Other sessions such as creative writing, art, dance, female fitness & yoga are run by experts in their field. We regularly run workshops alongside national health campaigns and to date have delivered diabetes risk assessments, mental health awareness campaigns as well as a suicide prevention workshops at Grahame Park. We also offer a telephone or zoom Counselling service. Most of our activities are free of charge and open to everyone regardless of ability.
