Community impact Our Projects Health and wellbeing Health and Wellbeing Cultivating a healthy and happy community is an essential part of the work we do. We currently run a varied and growing programme of activities which focuses on alleviating isolation, improving mental and physical health, strengthening connections between community members, exploring our creative talents and having fun. The Tuesday drop-in is one of our core activities and provides an opportunity for residents to get together, relax and make new friends. At the session we enjoy a cup of tea over a game of bingo followed by a gentle exercise activity or a talk by a guest speaker on a medical or wellbeing theme. Volunteers who live at Grahame Park are at the heart of our project and run many of the activities on offer including bingo, belly dancing, yoga & the twice weekly walking group. Other sessions such as creative writing, female fitness & clay modelling are run by experts in their field. We regularly run workshops alongside national health campaigns and to date have delivered diabetes risk assessments, mental health awareness campaigns as well as a suicide prevention workshop at Grahame Park. We also offer a one to one Counselling service from the One Stop Shop due to the increased need here. Most of our activities are free of charge and open to everyone regardless of ability.
