Community impact Grahame Park Strategic Group Developing the Grahame Park estate The Grahame Park Community and Economic Development Strategy is the key mechanism for delivering community and economic development activity in Grahame Park. Establishing GPS formalises the role and support for the Community and Economic Development Strategy, from key local partners who take a role in coordinating a theme in the strategy. GPS is fundamentally important in providing a strategic approach to joint working and pooling resources for community and economic development activity in Grahame Park. Bringing lead coordinating organisations together to coordinate activity contributes to: Avoiding duplication Providing integrated community and economic development activities Value for money Information that is accessible to all The purpose of GPS is to: Contribute to a strategic overview of community and economic development activity in Grahame Park. Contribute to joint working on the delivery of the Grahame Park Community & Economic Development Strategy. Help to identify resources to support the delivery of the strategy, once it is clear what existing resources are available and where the gaps are. Develop practical ways to strengthen joint working in the neighbourhood, including contributing to the following: - Developing shared monitoring systems where possible and appropriate - Data sharing - Evidence of need - Shared marketing and communication - Help to develop the foundation for consortium bids to lever in external funding to support community and economic development activity.
